A Special Message from Bishop Solis - Bishop Oscar Solis welcomes students and teachers to the 2025–2026 school year, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Catholic education in Utah. Join us for a new season of concerts presented by Arts & Music at the Madeleine! For almost forty years, the Cathedral of the Madeleine has presented three annual concert seasons: the Cathedral Choir Concert Series, the Eccles Organ Festival, and the Madeleine Festival of the Arts and Humanities. For the first time, we are excited to present all these events together as Arts & Music at the Madeleine, showing the full breadth and depth of the Cathedral's offerings.

Congratulations to MCS Students and Artist in Residence, Ms. Mattes for their honorable mentions and prizes for their incredible pieces showcased at the Utah State Fair 2025! 6th graders Liliya and Jack won Honorable Mentions in the Junior Amateur Fine Arts category (artwork by kids 11 and under), 6th grader Alexandra won a 3rd place prize in Junior Amateur Fine Arts, and 4th grader Elizabeth won 1st place and Best in Show in the same category. All of the artwork was done in Ms. Mattes's art class. Go Cardinals!

Jane Maus (MCS '09) is on the run! One of the most technical mountain trail running routes in North America has a new Fastest Known Time, set by La Sportiva athlete Jane Maus, who covered the challenging route in 3 hours and 45 minutes. That's 7,000 feet up along 14.5 miles. Pretty incredible! Jane also won the Cirque Series at Snowbird in July. Finishing 8th overall, she will race on the World's team this year.

The Cathedral of the Madeleine is pleased to announce Dr. Richard L. Elliott, Principal Organist of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, as the recipient of the 2025 Madeleine Award for Distinguished Service to the Arts and Humanities.

The Madeleine Award will be presented to Dr. Elliott at the annual Madeleine Award Dinner, which will be held on September 9, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the Madeleine Choir School. Get your tickets today.
