Keenan Lins (MCS '14) graduated this spring from Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Engineering.

Emily Ohman (MCS '14) graduated from The University of California Berkeley this spring with a Bachelor of Science degree in Society and Environment, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography.

The professors and dean of the Berkeley Geography department awarded Emily the McClish Oberlander Award in Physical Geography.
Established in 1989 in memory of Lucille McClish Oberlander, this award is given to the outstanding geography major in physical geography each year. Congratulations Emily!

The Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School joined local musicians from the University of Utah, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, several members of the Utah Ukrainian Association, as well as British-American singer, dancer, and actor, Alex Boyé for an evening of prayer and music in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be used for life-saving supplies for the people in Ukraine. Student choristers from the Madeleine Choir School traveled to Washington, D. C. February 4 through 7 where they performed in services and concerts, including a memorial concert for Dr. Leo Nestor, who served as Director of Music at The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for many years. Dr. Nestor who also served as composer in residence at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in 2008, died in September of 2019 .

Jessica French (MCS '98) was awarded the 2022 AGO/ECS Publishing Award in Choral Composition for her commissioned piece, Earth, Strike Up Your Music. The 2022 award called for a work for SATB choir and organ with congregational participation, utilizing the text of a poem, Christmas Eve, by Christina Rossetti. J. Thomas Kearns (MCS '14), a double major in psychology and communication studies at Gonzaga University, is the recipient of the 2021 Goldwater Scholarship, an award presented to 409 outstanding college scholars nationwide who were judged to have scientific preeminence.
