Pioneer - Utah's Online Library, has a vast array of resources, which can also make it difficult to know where to begin. The following list contains a few selected resources which are an excellent starting point for most research assignments.

MCS Library Catalog: Search the print collection of the Madeleine Choir School library. Can't find a book you would like? Book recommendations are always welcome, simply fill out a Suggestion form on your next library visit.

Pioneer - Utah's Online Library: Pioneer is an online entry point to over 45 licensed, electronic resources. Here you can search newspaper articles, magazines, professional journals, periodicals, encyclopedia content, photographs, maps, charts, graphics, and more.

Academic Search Premier: A multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 4,600 journals, including full text for nearly 3,900 peer-reviewed titles. Primary Search: Designed for elementary school students, provides access to nearly 80 full-text magazines the Encyclopedia of Animals, Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, and the American Heritage Children's Dictionary.

MASUltra School Edition: A comprehensive database which contains full text for nearly 500 popular magazines including American History, Archaeology, Bioscience, Congressional Digest, Discover, History Today, Nation, National Review, New Republic, Popular Science, Science News, Scientific American, Smithsonian, etc.

Middle Search Plus: Designed for middle school students, provides access to over 160 full-text magazines and periodicals, over 102,000 full-text biographies, over 106,000 primary source documents, Essential Documents in American History, and Funk and Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia.

SIRS - Issues Researcher: Analysis and opinions cover the pros, cons, and everything in between on the most researched and debated social issues. Editorially created Topic Overview pages help build solid foundations for understanding the issue.

World Book Encyclopedia:This encyclopedia is updated and revised annually and is specifically designed to meet the curriculum needs of elementary through high-school students.
