We had a fantastic start-of-the-year picnic with over 300 people gathered on the Quad to ring in the new school year.
This year is also the 800th anniversary of the ‘transitus’ of St. Francis of Assisi, an important year for our faith community to explore the remarkable witness of this thirteenth-century follower of Jesus of Nazareth. His soul-searching inquiry into what is most important in the life of the human person, and the subsequent logic for life he has shared with us, will be our focus in the coming school year. Many of the Middle School families and students will participate in a pilgrimage to Assisi and the Porziuncola, where Francis and his early followers began. Walking in the way of St. Francis this year, we will have many opportunities to grow from the inspiration of this man who chose Jesus above all else.
