We are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new electives program for students in grades 7 and 8, coming this fall! Electives will offer students the chance to explore two, weekly, double-period elective courses across a variety of dynamic areas, including Art, Athletics, STEM, and more. We are actively seeking input from our teachers and current 6 and 7 grade students to ensure the course offerings meet the needs and interests of our community. To make room for these new electives, we’re adjusting the schedule: PE and Art will meet once a week, SEL will be integrated into homeroom time, and Music History will become an elective. We are confident that these changes will create more opportunities for engagement and deeper learning, while preserving the strength of our comprehensive curriculum. #MCSLearningThroughElectives
