Mr. James Goldrick Performs at the Organ Fest XIII

Last Friday, our Associate Director of Music & Assistant Organist of the Cathedral of the Madeleine Mr. Goldrick, performed in the Organ Fest XIII at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. The Organ Fest partners with Classical 89, Utah’s classical radio station, to celebrate organ music and support organ music programming. This annual concert alternates between the Salt Lake Tabernacle and the Cathedral of the Madeleine, to showcase both famous organs! Mr. Goldrick was one of the six talented organists asked to be a part of this beautiful concert.

Mr. Goldrick joined our international music department in 2020, but due to Covid restrictions, joined us in April of 2022. Mr. Goldrick was raised in Sydney, Australia and earned a bachelor of music degree from Newcastle Conservatorium of Music. He continued his education at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana earning himself a masters degree in sacred music. He also studied organ improvisation in France with Nigel Allcoat. MCS is incredibly lucky to have Mr. Goldrick.

Dr. Gabriele Terrone was unable to join Organ Fest XIII this year, but he will be a featured soloist in the Virtuoso Organ Performance Series on Friday, October 7 at 7:30PM at the Tabernacle.
