					The Extended Care Program, which opened in August 2003, is an extension of the school day for children in Pre-K through Eighth grade.  MCSEC serves only children enrolled at the Madeleine Choir School and operates only when school is in session. The open-ended schedule allows children to choose to create and play inside and outdoors throughout the 3:00-6:00 PM time.  
The Extended Care Educator will support the Assistant Director and Director in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore, create, and imagine. A successful Educator is flexible, committed to the expected work hours, and supports the duties outlined by the Director.
The role and responsibilities of the Educator:
-Provide supervision for a safe environment for individual care and attention
-Support children during outside recreation
-Offer enrichment activities that include; creative arts, sensory exploration, building, board games, dramatic play, and endless opportunities for the children use their imagination and creativity
-Help children problem solve and provide positive guidance
-Interacts with children and their families
-Complete timecards daily
-Assist the Director and Assistant Director in daily activities
Compensation will be determined on experience.
