MCS Adds New Bus to Fleet Thanks to the David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation

The Madeleine Choir School took delivery of an 84-passenger school bus in early December. The bus was made possible by grant funding from the David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation. The Madeleine Choir School was introduced to Elizabeth Johnson over a decade ago when she heard the student choristers sing in the Cathedral of the Madeleine. It was through Mrs. Johnson’s love and appreciation of the choir that the school has been fortunate enough to receive the needed funding to purchase a new bus. The David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation continues to carry out Elizabeth’s wishes to give to those in need in the name of her grandson. The procurement of the new bus has given the school the opportunity to strengthen its transportation system and continue to offer this service to students across the Wasatch Front.

    On Monday, October 30, 2017, the Chorister of the Madeleine Choir School performed a brilliant rendition of the National Anthem before the Utah Jazz tipped off against the Dallas Mavericks. Inspired by the performance the Jazz went on to victory over Mavericks 104-89.
