Amber has lived in many parts of the country starting with Vancouver, WA, and started early elementary grades in Plano, TX.  She then moved to Louisville KY, and attended Sacred Heart Model School and Sacred Heart Academy which is run by the Urslin Sisters. Amber moved yet again to Bettendforf, Iowa, her sophomore year and graduated from Pleasant Valley Highschool.  

Amber received her undergraduate degree in Public and Community Health Education from Iowa State University, and a graduate degree in mild/moderate Elementary Special Education in 2010.  

Her first job was teaching science and health classes to elementary students with the Children's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.  Amber quickly came to realize her love and passion was with teaching children, and began teaching elementary school general education classes and special education in Milwaukee, WI, Phoenix, AZ, and Layton UT.  Amber started her family with her husband James, and took 7 years off from teaching while raising her two boys who also attend Madeline Choir School.  She returned back to teaching at St. Olaf Catholic School in Bountiful in 2015 as a 5th grade teacher and reading intervention specialist.
