Erbin Hall Dedication
At long last the renovation of Jacquelyn M. Erbin Hall was completed yesterday, March 20, 2017, as faculty and students resumed classes in their new classrooms after the reprieve of Spring Break. We were honored to have Bishop Solis dedicate and bless the building, following a celebration of Mass of the Solemnity of St. Joseph at the Cathedral. The celebration also included the recognition of three key individuals who worked tirelessly to complete this very complex, historic restoration. The St. Cecilia Award was bestowed upon the project architect Brian McCarthy, and Ryan Hales and Tim Duke, our project managers with Okland Construction. Their hard work and dedication -- combined with the kindness and generosity of many donors, including our lead donors: The Emma Eccles Jones Foundation and The ALSAM Foundation -- were crucial to its completion. The Madeleine Choir School wishes to extend its sincerest gratitude to the many, many people who supported this effort over the past decade and a half, as the completion of this renovation will enable the Choir School to continue its mission to inspire young people to become engaged scholars, effective communicators, dedicated liturgical musicians, and responsible world citizens who seek to build a civilization of justice, mercy and love.
