We are excited to announce the addition of a choir for third and fourth graders to our choral ensembles, the St. Dunstan Choir. This group will be open to any students in 3rd and 4th grade from the valley who are eager to sing and explore the world around them through music, with priority given to MCS students. The group will meet on Wednesdays from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm, with the option of attending Mass at 5:15 pm at the Cathedral of the Madeleine together with our choristers (this will only take place about twice a month, whenever the choristers are scheduled to sing, and will extend the day until 6 pm). The weekly choir rehearsals will focus on teaching musicianship skills and healthy vocal technique through the singing of folksongs from around the world and on introducing our youngest singers to the sacred repertoire our older choristers sing regularly at services at the Cathedral. Most of all, we strive to instill a joy for singing and an appreciation for working together with others, while also building self-confidence in every singer through music-making.
