The Founders' Day Concert Showcases MCS Alumni Talent

In addition to numerous choral scholar performers, the audience at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, and those streaming the concert at home, were in for a treat with guest conductor Ryan Tani (MCS '07).  Behind the highly talented soloists Julia Gershkoff, Soprano; Edith Grossman, Mezzo Soprano; Danile O'Hearn, Tenor; and Evan Hammond, Bass; the Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine featuring the Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School presented the following works for the annual Founders' Day Concert on Sunday evening, March 13, 2022 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine:

Johann Sebastian Bach Komm, Jesu, Komm BWV 229
Johann Sebastian Bach Cantata BWV 147, "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben"

As part of the school's 25th anniversary celebration, this concert  also featured the premiere performance of commissioned works by MCS alumni composers Jessica French (MCS '98) and Nicolas Chuaqui (MCS '04).
