Ms. Karla Padilla

Born in Honduras, CA, Karla Padilla moved to Utah when she was a child. She is a proud member of the 1991 first graduating class of Hunter High School. Karla attended the University of Utah where she earned her B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and was a member of the first cohort of Bennion Center Service Learning Scholars. She went on to earn an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Although she began her career in Human Resources with Marriott International, through various life experiences Karla discovered that her true passion was working and serving the youth of her community. She has worked with various youth organizations and schools including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake, The National Youth Sports Program, West Lake Junior High School, Rose Park Elementary, and Saint Andrew Catholic School. She also served as her parish's Youth Minister for three years.

Karla is currently the Director of Admissions at The Madeleine Choir School. She loves that she is able to combine her passion for education and her Catholic faith.

Together with her husband of 27 years, Duane Padilla, they have two wonderful children, Carlos and AnaValeska, with whom they love to travel, continue family traditions, make memories with, and root for the Utes! In her spare time Karla loves to travel, do community service, read, dance, learn about history, and watch time period shows and films.
