questions and become responsible, informed digital citizens. As a librarian and
information literacy teacher, she hopes to spark a lifelong love of learning in her
students.
She spent the last several years as a news editor and journalist, most recently writing
for KSL, Utah’s most-read news source. Her coverage of teens and social media issues
in the newsroom helped her pivot to her current role in the classroom, where she gives
students tools to navigate a variable online landscape. Before working as a journalist,
she worked for two years at the Harold B. Lee Library, one of the country’s premier
university libraries.
Ms. Johnson moved to Utah from Southern California to earn a bachelor’s degree in
journalism at Brigham Young University. She and her husband met as students and are
glad to call Utah home. When she isn’t in the library, she enjoys reading, playing the
piano, tennis, and crossword puzzles. She is proud to be a part of The Madeleine Choir
School team!
