Mrs. Ana Bunce

A Utah native, Ana Bunce picked up a spatula and held it under her chin after watching her older brothers
play the violin. Eventually she performed with the Utah Youth Symphony for five years, became a member of the Young Artist Chamber Players and toured Europe with the Rocky Mountain Youth Camarata. While attending the University of Utah, Mrs. Bunce had the opportunity to be Concertmaster of the University of Utah Symphony Orchestra under David Cole. Her principal teachers included Karen Child, Jack Ashton, Ralph Matson and David Park.

After moving to Arizona, Mrs. Bunce performed for ten years as a first violinist in the West Valley Symphony under Cal Stewart Kellogg. She also performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of the Southwest, Ash String Quartet, and Sweetwater Strings at countless events ranging from full orchestra to small chamber ensembles.

As a registered Suzuki teacher with the Suzuki Association of Americas and Suzuki Association of Utah,
Mrs. Bunce has seen great progress in her students over the last twenty years. She currently teaches private
and group lessons and her studio performs around the Salt Lake valley. Other teaching experiences
include the Music Specialist at Montessori Community School and violin instructor at Palm Valley
Montessori, Pineforest Waldorf School, and Archway Veritas.

In her free time, Mrs. Bunce enjoys river kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, climbing and being outside.
