The Madeleine Summer Experience Camps
for the
Weeks of June 17 - 21 and July 29 - August 2

NOTE:  Due to system limitations, each individual camp registration must be completed separately.  We apologize for any inconvenience. 

Camp Kazoo! Fine Arts Exploration (Grades PreK-3)
Monday-Friday, June 17-21
Time: 8:30AM - 12:30PM
20 maximum enrollment for Camp Kazoo (PreK, K and 1)
20 maximum enrollment for Camp Kazoo (Grades 2 and 3)
Cost: $175 

A wonderful place to be creative and try something new, this half-day camp allows young students to explore the arts through hands-on activities and play. Students will be dancing, singing, and creating works of art. Camp Kazoo is a fantastic chance for students to meet new friends before the next school year! Students will bring a sack lunch to enjoy outside with their friends before having a bit of play time together as the day wraps up.

Camp GO! (Grades 4-8)
Monday-Friday, June 17-21
Time: 8:30AM - 12:30PM
30 maximum enrollment for Camp Go
Cost: $225 

Join us for a fitness camp exploring different sports and physical activities. Campers will experience new games indoors and outdoors to strengthen their skills on and off the field. They will also explore some of the great hikes the Salt Lake Valley has to offer! Pack your water bottle and bring a lunch to power up after the fun!

Camp Expedition: beUTAHful edition! (Grades 1-4)
Monday-Friday, July 29- August 2
Time: 9:00-4:00pm
25 maximum enrollment for Camp Expedition
Cost: $300

This fun and action-filled full-day camp is for students who love to explore what the Salt Lake Valley home has to offer.  Let's explore "beUTAHful!’ together!

The Madeleine MIDDLE SCHOOL Summer Experience Camps
for the
Week of June 24 - 28

Times:
Morning Session: 8:30AM - 12:00 Noon
Afternoon Session: 2:30 - 4:00 PM

Cost:
$200 for ONE Session (one course per session)
$350 for BOTH Morning and Afternoon Sessions*

*Campers who are signed up for BOTH AM and PM sessions will need to bring a packed lunch each day to camp.
There will be a supervised lunch daily from 12 Noon - 12:30PM.

LEGO ROBOTICS

Are you a choir student who wishes they could take Robotics in STA as well? Are you an STA student who can’t get enough of the Robotics class and want to do more? Then Mr. Stager’s summer Robotics course is for you! In this week-long class, we will have a LEGO Robotics crash course, learning the principles of programming and design. Each day of the course will be geared towards completing a simple challenge course at the end of the week. We will use the LEGO Spike Prime robots and the LEGO Education Spike 3 App. A Chromebook or other device is highly recommended. A limited supply of loaner chromebooks may be available. INTRO TO GERMAN

Join Frau Oberle in an introductory course to the German language! We will be covering basic conversations and vocab, such as greetings, numbers, food, etc., listening to German music, and playing German games. Come learn the beautiful language of Mozart, Goethe, and Arnold Schwarzenegger! (Those who have a background in German are still encouraged to sign up, and alternative activities will be provided.) If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Oberle at [email protected].

Description of Afternoon PM Courses: (ONE COURSE SELECTION PER SESSION)

MODERN MYTHOLOGIES of DC and MARVEL

In this mythology course, we will not just be learning about ancient mythologies from various cultures, but the modern ones as well: superheroes. We will be looking at superheroes that pull directly from ancient mythological sources (Thor, Wonder Woman), superheroes with origin stories similar to ancient heroes (Superman, Iron Man), and superheroes that follow the hero's journey of ancient myth (Spider-Man, Batman). SHORT STORIES

Are you an avid reader? Do you love diving into great stories? Do ideas for stories bounce around in your head? Each day of this course, we will read a gripping short story, have a seminar discussion about its themes and style, and write and share short stories of our own.
